Family
With three children three and under the Washington family left the United States and moved to Bolivia. They landed on November 1, 2001. All their worldly possessions fit into a pile of rubber crates. The tropical city of Santa Cruz was their home for two years as they learned to speak Spanish and live in the Bolivian culture.
Washington Family
The children were homeschooled during this time. They moved to the mountain city Cochabamba in 2003 with the intent of planting a ministry base. The children continued in home school. In 2009 a new branch of the ministry was established and they started a Christian school. Their children now attend that school called Cristo Nacion.
Living in the heart of South America has afforded many travel opportunities. DaRonn and Angie celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Their 12th anniversary was spent trekking Machu Picchu outside of Cuzco, Peru. Other special visits around Bolivia have been made to Samipata, Oruro, Potosi, Beni, and Uyuni.
Family Time Line
- 1996 DaRonn and Angie are married on November 23rd
- 1998 our first daughter, Raimy Olivia, is born on March 11th
- 1999 our first son, Timothy Aaron, is born on October 11th
- 2001 our second daughter, Gabrielle Moriah, is born on August 12th
- 2001 We move our family of five to Bolivia on November 1st
- 2006 our youngest son, Tyler Cole, is born on September 7th
- 2010 the adoption of Kaitlynn Glory, our youngest daughter, is finalized. (born Dec. 16, 2007)
